Privacy Policy
Cove is a kid-safe search and video service managed by parents. We collect as little as possible, and we exist to protect kids — not to monetize them.
What we collect
Parents: your name and email from Google sign-in, and (if you subscribe) billing handled by Stripe — we never see your card number.
Kids: the first name and grade a parent enters, and activity inside the app (searches, videos watched, time used, quiz scores) — shown only to that kid's own parent.
We do not collect kids' emails ourselves; a parent may optionally link a kid's Google account for sign-in.
What we never do
No ads. No trackers or analytics scripts. No selling or sharing data with anyone. No contact between users — kids can't be messaged by anyone through this service.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Kid profiles can only be created by a signed-in parent, and each kid's data is visible only to their own parent — the parent's account creation and (for paid plans) card payment serve as verifiable parental consent. A parent can delete their whole family's data at any time on the Family page, which removes it permanently.
Services we rely on
Cloudflare (hosting & AI screening), Google (sign-in, YouTube data), Brave (search), Supadata (page/transcript fetching), Stripe (payments), Resend (parent notification emails). Each receives only what's needed to do its job.
Videos are played using YouTube's embedded player. Your use of that player is also governed by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Search results are powered by Brave Search.
